About Sam Stafford
I’ve worked in recruitment since 2010 and have always believed it should be done with honesty, care and a genuine people-first approach.
After running my own business and working solo for the past six years, this new venture feels especially exciting as it brings me back into partnership with Bella who I first worked with over 10 years ago and have a huge amount of respect and appreciation for, both professionally and personally. I feel very lucky to not only be building a business together but also to call her a friend. Sharing the same values and passion for doing things the right way made this a natural next step.
I love helping people grow — whether supporting individuals as they progress their careers or helping clients build strong and successful teams. For me, recruitment is all about relationships, trust and creating long-term partnerships where people and businesses can flourish.
My experience spans HR recruitment across legal, professional services, finance, consultancy, FMCG, charity and technology sectors, managing both retained and contingent assignments.
Outside of work, I’m Mum to my four-year-old daughter and alongside my partner we share a love of the outdoors — from forest school and camping to time spent at my allotment, where I enjoy volunteering, gardening and exploring herbalism.
I also practice yoga, which reflects the thoughtful and grounded way I aim to approach both life and work.
About Bella Mestrinho
I am an HR search specialist with a wealth of both recruitment experience and HR generalist experience, gained in City law firms. Graduating in Business Studies, specialising in HR and CIPD qualified, I began my career as a HR generalist. Working within City law firms I progressed to HRM level until I decided I needed a change. Reaching a crossroads, I somehow landed in HR search and have never looked back.
I am really very lucky to love the job I do. My journey has given me the tools to give candidates and clients in-depth information and knowledge on the mechanics of the HR function with a clear understanding of the various disciplines. Over the years I have developed an amazing network of clients and candidates where together we have created some really strong working relationships and friendships. I have been lucky to work with so many HR professionals multiple times over the years, supporting across various stages of their career and life journeys. These relationships have been built on trust of which I am deeply grateful.
I pride myself on offering my best to all my clients and candidates giving solutions and options. I listen, unpick, and then unravel to create the best pathway ahead providing clarity and resolution. My focus is on both interim and permanent HR generalist and specialist roles and work with a diverse range of Firms primarily within the legal space, accountancy, management consultancies and Real Estate.
Key to our success is investing time and focus to truly understand people and their needs so we are able to offer the best support on CVs, biographies, interviews, job briefs and ensuring the end result is an ideal match. The majority of our relationships are long-standing because of the quality of service we offer. Although our core business is recruitment, we also offer training and consultancy services (see Something Extra) to businesses and people on a multitude of issues affecting the world of HR and recruitment.
We see things differently from the norm and invest time, thought and an innovative approach to help you make the best decision for your future, whether you are a hiring manager searching for new talent or a candidate looking for your next role. People are people and we offer the same level of service to clients and candidates alike. We don’t distinguish the two.
